CLMA GLAC Strategic Goals 2008

Utilize our Website

  • For timely announcements and links to what is new both locally and on a national front.

  • Spotlight our members periodically.

  • Educate our membership about Good Practice Sharing (GPS) at our Spring Event.

Create network opportunities

  • Provide a “Meet and Greet” committee at all of our events and have one networking activity to bring together like interests with a member/nonmember.

  • Encourage our members to get involved by inviting them to join committees- have at least 1 non-Board member added to each committee by the end of 2008.

  • Hold a membership only meeting to get to know each other and have “fun”.

Stay involved with regulations and advocacy

  • Keep our membership informed of all local updates through timely postings on our website.

  • Hold PAC events at each membership event and set goals for donations collected.

  • Target our current and future students by inviting them to our events through incentives.

  • Attend career days to promote our field and bring awareness for CLMA.

  • Send letters to students currently enrolled in the CLS programs.

  • Explore further involvement with National legislative issues and advocate for the laboratory field.

Provide an opportunity for Industry Partners to support our organization through sponsorships

  • In collaboration with our Industry Partners, provide high quality educational events.

  • Build relationships with our Industry Partners and understand their needs.

  • Create additional types of sponsorship options other then educational events.

Increase our membership base through education and mentorship opportunities

  • Encourage our members to bring non-members to events by offering incentives- i.e. raffles or free registrations.

  • Take the first steps toward building a mentorship pool for our members to pull from.

  • Explore scholarship options for our members either to Thinklab or other educational opportunities and tie the return on investment to active participation in our Chapter.

  • Provide members only teleconferences/audio labs provided by the National office or vendor sponsored at networking meetings.
